I didn’t plan on starting over I just had to.

Hi, I’m Elena a soft hearted, strongwilled immigrant girl who packed a suitcase full of dreams (and seasoning cubes) and landed in a new country, not fully prepared for the emotional rollercoaster that would follow.

Whimsytide was born on one of those quiet days when I felt a little lost, a little homesick, and a little tired of pretending I had it all together. It’s a space for young immigrants like me who are learning how to rebuild, belong, and breathe a little easier in a new world.

Here, we talk about:

•The beautiful and awkward moments of living between cultures

•Finding joy in the small things like food from home or finally understanding slang

•How to date, dream, and deal with the waves of identity, loneliness, and growth

•And all the unspoken things we wish someone had told us
